Pałac Marianny Orańskiej w Kamieńcu Ząbkowickim

     Pałac Marianny Orańskiej w Kamieńcu Ząbkowickim to imponująca neogotycka budowla, wzniesiona na wzgórzu nad miastem. Powstał w pierwszej połowie XIX wieku z inicjatywy królewny Marianny Orańskiej, córki króla Niderlandów Wilhelma I. Projekt opracował Karl Schinkel, wybitny pruski architekt tamtego okresu. Kamień węgielny pod budowę położono w 1838 roku, a prace trwały 33 lata. Budowa została zakończona w 1872 roku.

 

     Po II wojnie światowej pałac padł ofiarą dewastacji i pożaru, a prace renowacyjne rozpoczęto dopiero w 2012 roku, gdy gmina Kamieniec Ząbkowicki odzyskała zabytek. Obecnie trwają prace nad przywróceniem pałacu do dawnej świetności, a turystom udostępniono możliwość zwiedzania tego niezwykłego miejsca.
