Żydowskie Muzeum Galicja Kazimierz Kraków

Muzeum Galicja na Kazimierzu w Krakowie, założone przez brytyjskiego fotografa Chrisa Schwarza, mieści się w odrestaurowanym budynku dawnej fabryki mebli żydowskich przy ulicy Dajwór 18. Oficjalnie otwarte 27 czerwca 2004 roku, zajmuje obszar 920 m².

Główną wystawą jest "Śladami Pamięci", która jest hołdem dla nieistniejącego już świata i docenieniem ponad 800-letniej historii kultury żydowskiej w Polsce. Składa się z 140 dużych fotografii kolorowych autorstwa Schwarza z miasteczek i wiosek Galicji.

Muzeum posiada także księgarnię, która oferuje książki w językach: polskim, angielskim, niemieckim i francuskim, dotyczące życia, kultury, tożsamości i literatury żydowskiej.

Instytucja prowadzi szeroko zakrojoną działalność edukacyjną i przekazuje wiedzę o historii i kulturze Żydów w przystępny sposób. Jej misją jest ukazanie bogactwa polsko-żydowskiej historii w szerszym kontekście.

Program edukacyjny obejmuje lekcje muzealne, wykłady, warsztaty, zajęcia plastyczne i wycieczki edukacyjne z przewodnikiem, skierowane do uczniów szkół podstawowych i szkół ponadpodstawowych. Muzeum oferuje pakiety edukacyjne dostosowane do potrzeb każdej grupy.

Dział Edukacji tworzy materiały edukacyjne i pomoce naukowe dotyczące nauczania o Holokauście, historii oraz religii i kulturze Żydów, adresowane do uczniów i nauczycieli z Polski i z zagranicy.
